SPIRIT OF THE CARIBBEAN

SPIRIT OF THE CARIBBEAN

Spirit of the Caribbean, inspired by the rich legacy of our Caribbean culture, customs and traditions, brings great fun, joy and excitement to the community of Jamaica, Queens, New York. The summer festival held in June for the past two years showcases the best of Caribbean culture and traditions at the Jamaica Center.

Introduced by our co-founder, Patricia Chin, the key mission is to organize public performances that strengthen partnerships between diverse stakeholders in the community. The festival brings together Caribbean nationals from places including, Jamaica, Guyana, Trinidad, Belize, Barbados and Antigua. Patrons are treated to delicious Caribbean food, street dancing, cultural performances and a fun-filled road march. The carnival flare festival is endorsed by many Caribbean Consulates General to New York and is a must-see family event each year!

Realizing that through likeminded missions a greater impact can be achieved, the Vincent & Patricia Foundation has partnered with the Spirit of the Caribbean Festival. We believe that this partnership reaffirms our commitment in preserving and showcasing our rich Caribbean heritage!
